  1. The divine is in everyone and everything,
After the winter comes the spring…
Bells of joy start to ring
And birds , in the sky , fly and sing
    A flying bird has a wing ,
Every creation is like a king …
See that your spirit can have joy like a child in a swing…

  3. Responding to what you do with what I do (in the hope that your other post is right, and I’m enough, on a day when I don’t feel it)…

The most beautiful thing I saw from here
was a pelican flying over the ocean…
a heron landing on the roof of a getaway car…
a heart finding its feet in the dust…
    and a kestrel,
    hovering over a phone…
still waiting for the silence to ring…

    still waiting for you,
    robbing the stars for me.

The most beautiful thing I heard from here
was the first stirring of an undiscovered word,
    spilling out of a smile…
the sound of heavy rain just missing the window…
    a waterfall,
chasing us giggling through the clouds
    and
    still whispering my name…

even when they delete you from my files.

You linger illegal in my heart,
    still robbing my teardrops…

    still calling them stars.

The most beautiful thing I saw from here
was a place I spent the worst part of my life coming home from…
    and a notebook
    with deep wet pages,
pinned up to dry in the fine mist between trees…

    a pirate ship,
riding the charts of empty inkwells.

The most beautiful thing I saw from here was you,
    setting sail from here…

just to rob those rotten stars
and steal a moon for me.

      1. Thank you.
I wrote this during one of those times when people would have struggled to return my calls, and I’d have struggled to call them in the first place.
But it’s amazing what can grow in those pla cws where people are struggling. Thank you for writing about it so engagingly.
